Team's may feel he is desperate to get out of Astana and are being stingier then they might otherwise have been. Announcing that he is happy to stay at Astana -maybe gives AC a stronger negotiating stance. <br /><br />Teams maybe are also wary of the plans for a Spanish super squad built around Contador a year away. Where would that leave them after laying out millions is AC looking for a short term commitment? Caisse may worry about Contador walking off with there squad a la Armstrong to form the basis of his own team.
